Rector

The Venerable Peter Scott is the present rector of St. Mark’s.  Prior to this ministry, Peter was rector of St. James, Port Colborne and Assistant Curate at St. Luke's Burlington. Peter is a graduate of Wycliffe College, Toronto (Master of Divinity, 1995) and has a B.Ed. from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc. (Hons.) from Trent University.  Prior to ordination, Peter was a schoolteacher, teaching grades 6-8 at Kashechewan in Northern Ontario and at St. John's-Kilmarnock School school in Maryhill, Ontario. Peter was made an Honourary Canon at Christ's Church Cathedral in Hamilton in 2007 and Archdeacon of Greater Wellington in 2009.  He is married to Elizabeth and they have two children, Rebecca and Ethan and a dog named River.
